Bandingan Officially Launched

The Marawi City Division (MCD) officially launched the Bandingan – the official newsletter of the division, on March 18, 2026 at the Paramanis Hall. The launch was attended by the division officials, district supervisors, school heads and school paper advisers (SPAs) and graced by the different press and media personalities of Lanao del Sur. Bandingan copies were distributed to the division, MCD districts, and MCD education stakeholders. Quick Response (QR) code is given for easy access of the digital copy of the newsletter.
Bandingan serves as a platform to highlight significant programs, best practices, accomplishments, and milestones of schools, personnels, and the division as a whole. It aims to foster unity, promote collaboration, and document the division’s initiatives in support to quality education.
During the launch, MCD Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Sahanee M. Sumagayan stressed that the newsletter aims to bridge communication gaps across the division. It is a platform that captures the collective efforts of MCD as one division. Bandingan tells the story of the basic education in Marawi City.
Dr. Abdul Mahed G. Romato, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the Bandingan, stated that the newsletter is materialized through the efforts of the brilliant and competitive editorial board. Bandingan is by the division, for the division. We want every significant program, every best practice, every accomplishment, and every milestone of the division to be seen in the pages of this newsletter.
